The Executive Committee is striving hard to add more members, good news is that Bangalore Club is getting ready to launch a new chapter of Skal focusing the IT Corridor of Bangalore, this should commence in the beginning of 2019. The Skal Bangalore networking can be judged with a fact that shortly the Executive Committee will be initiating three new Skal Clubs in Karnataka state covering Mysore, Coorg & Mangalore districts. Recently in Nov 2019 the Skal National Committee members were in Bangalore for a review and applauded the efforts of Skal Bangalore in various new activities & initiatives.
During the year, the Club organizes ten to eleven luncheon or Dinner meetings mostly on weekends. The important activities & highlight of the meetings are:
· Once a Year a Family picnic, a Dinner during Diwali, Christmas & a Grand Skal Ball- to enhance closeness & better atmosphere for networking.
· Once a year “Skal Quiz” a grand event with a rolling trophy. This is a unique activity with a 100-125 participants from Young Skal members & hospitality professionals followed by award ceremony, refreshments & lunch.

Skal Bangalore Social Responsibilities & initiatives: Our club has always led by example in the area of social responsibilities, a unique Initiative started in 2010 when the Executive committee along with HOD of Christ University identified an economically weak student & offered complete scholarship for the BHM course. We still continue this practice .Our club rolled-out a "Joy of Giving program" every Diwali & ends it during Christmas Celebration. The money /Goodies collected are distributed to an Old-age home/Orphanage with members spending time with the inmates. In year 2019, we have also contributed for the relief of Kerala & Coorg Flood Disaster
Young Skal: In year 2010 we launched Young SKAL Chapter of Bangalore & subsequently moved the initiative to Hotel Management Institutes. We are actively growing our Young Skal Student & Working professional category & by early next year, we will be growing our numbers to three digits .The mentorship programme along with senior skalleagues is a great boost to their career & confidence. We had initiated a real-time industry exposure of our Young Skal members and arranged visits to Taj Flight Kitchen and a visit to a few renowned hotels. Skål Bangalore is all set to host the 48th Skål Asia Congress 2019 at Bangalore from 27th-29th June 2019.
